HELP

Im the only loser lol

Don't beat yourself up! You're treating yourself worse than anyone else is, does that make sense? Are teachers or classmates calling people losers while in class? I doubt it, because your teacher gave you an assignment to learn a song & play it with other musicians after a few months of starting to play. Your teacher wouldn't give you the assignment without believing you can do it, & your teacher is putting their reputation on the line by suggesting to others that you can do well: your teacher wouldn't do this if they did not believe in you. Give yourself a break & don't sabotage yourself.

Not saying it's easy; I am saying you have a good plan on how to learn a new song & how to practice playing it. Just practice by playing very slow, & hitting the notes accurately & on time. Once you can consistently play every note accurately, clearly, & on time, then slowly increase the playing speed while still being able to consistently play the notes accurately & on time. Repeat, slowly, till you can the song at its normal tempo.

Then all you have to do is relax before the performance (you will be nervous because you want to do well, but the trick is to channel the nervous energy into your performance - don't tense up your body!), & have fun playing with others. You'll do fine - tell us about it.

Break a leg!

You're paying for lessons and 'cheating' on an assignment. You're ripping yourself off. It might not be fun, but do the assignment like your teacher asked. She obviously thinks you can do it.
i dont pay for lessons. Im in a highschool and she is my normal teacher. Her main instrument is violin also. So taking advice from her is diffucult. and that is not a basically assignment. i need to prepare it for a show.

You have been playing for 3 months. No one expects you to lay like a professional. But if you want to continue mproving, you need to develop your listening skills.

You can't depend on TAB. It is not always accurate, it is not always available for a song. Also, for many forms of music, the ability to improvise is important.

I played last night with some good Jazz musicians last night. A number of the songs I had never even heard previously. All I had was lead sheets (chords and the melody). I also had to take some solos.
I will thanks 💕
