Double Bass Hercules Bass Stand

FYI:
I had put in an order for a bass stand about four months ago with Guitar Center. Unfortunately it was on back order. I was in no hurry so I simply waited. However, I just received a notice that my "item has been cancelled from your order." Oh well, my bass has found a nice safe corner, and I drape a quilt mattress pad from a baby crib over its shoulders to protect the edges.

K&M made improvements to their bass stands fairly recently. They have always had a small profile for transport, but now they are a lot sturdier (and a little lighter,)than the old chrome tube model.
The upper arms are held in place with springs which, in my experience, doesn't always keep them from folding when you want them immobile. However, I rigged a couple of trimmed zip ties that slide on and off that keeps them from moving.

If your endpin extends more than 9.5" or so, the Hercules might be annoying. I'm vertically challenged so no complaints from me!
Can anybody measure exactly how much can the endpin be extended with this stand? I'm asking because I extend mine around that limit. I like this stand for live use but not if I can't keep the endpin to my playing position. Please measure from the bottom of the bass to the end of the endpin extended to the maximum length that the stand allows. Many thanks in advance.

Looks like your pin can extend just over 9" (23 cm) without a problem.

I am 5'6", and I love my Hercules.

@Fran Diaz - to be a little more helpful in re-reading your question:

I extended the endpin as far as it would go, pulled the bass off the stand and measured 10 3/16" (25.8 cm) from the endblock to the tip of the pin.

Great! I measured mine and it's 24 cm so it fits my needs. Many thanks for taking the time and doing this.

I need one of these. I've been sharing my Ingles stand between my bass and cello. Unfortunately, when I take my cello out for gigs, the bass is standless for the night. Not to mention all the complaints I've read about the weight of a DB breaking the welds on that stand. Would suck to come home and find my bass face-down on the floor. Guess I need to stop just saying I need one and actually buy one.
