Sad this had to happen to a vintage axe, but I gotta say, the body design ain't bad. I think the general idea for the shape is actually kinda cool...

The color is just asking for it, the body is probably pretty comfortable but as far as JBs go they're usually pretty good. But you can't really blame the guy for trying something new I guess...Really? I can't imagine why it would be fairly light.
...as the bassist with exceptionally poor taste.
Actually it wore a corset for years didn’t get this shape till about 80Probably seemed like a great idea in 1967. Not so much today.
This disclaimer basically says NO returns because for the first sentence to be accepted the second cannot be and vice versa. pedant? Moi?
Thank you old fender player, a refinish only knocks off about 200 or 300 dollars on an old instrument, depending on the age so this price is appropriateIt’s a nice looking bass but it’s obviously been refinished.
Kind of reminds me of the Performer for some reason.
Picture of a nice Performer below, heisted from @JIO
Really, if I owned that ‘66 I would take it to a good luthier and convert it perfectly back.
In the colour of my choice. ‘66 basses, and cars, are the best.
