here's something you don't see every day - modified 66 Jazz content

You might not see it every day, but you see it often enough on here.

That bass is the yang to the Mothman’s yin. That ol’ dog showing up on TB once in a while just means the world’s still turning and bass players have a little free time on our hands.

To each his own I say. The value of a vintage instrument to me is that it is in original condition. This can vary from a closet classic to a well worn, honest condition. This one is heavily modified, that kind of diminishes the value from my perspective, however there may be someone out there willing to pick it up at that price and that's fine.

Kind of reminds me of the Performer for some reason.

Really, if I owned that ‘66 I would take it to a good luthier and convert it perfectly back.
In the colour of my choice. ‘66 basses, and cars, are the best.

Another fine mod brought to you by the expert craftsmen at Seuss Guitar Woiks!

We sat and we thought
Of a snazzy blue color
Some waist slimming magic
And now there’s another
Fine Fendery bass
As you own eyes can tell.

And we'll soon do another.
(Providing it sells.)

It is oddly related... or better, related in an odd way. I've always liked the '85-'86 Performer and think it would be a great choice for a Fender RI, but being that that specific Fender bass is my favorite... it's all I'll say.
