But every comment of yours that I have responded to negatively was either a baseless snipe or an outright false statement or a cheap straw man argument. It is right and normal to react negatively to that kind of cheap bashing and innuendo.

There is a difference between the type of immature defensiveness that you're trying to pin on me, and the normal reaction of a person with a mosquito buzzing in their ear and trying to suck blood.

PAUSE. TAKE BREATH. (that's for both of us)

Again, I have no wish to let this drag on any longer. Just quit your petty little jabs at me, and stick to mature disagreement on equal terms, and we might even become friends.

Well, when you learn to stop belittling my criticisms as "petty little jabs" and "straw man arguments," then I might consider it. Seriously, I wonder if you're even cognizant of how arrogant and dismissive that comes across on a public forum.

Not good PR on your part.

I have been extremely complimentary towards his point of views, and folks like yourself isolate the one negative comment or piece of criticism I might have ... amplify and make it much louder and more significant than it was ever intended to be. Meanwhile, completely ignoring and dismissing the compliments I have given.

That is very disrespectful. And defensive. I have a right to my point of view, just as he does his.

Bear in mind, I have ZERO financial motivation to say positive things about Boomer's mastery of compression technology.

You really did come in here swinging a nasty attitude around, and it has made it nearly impossible to accept the more positive comments you have also made.

I'm perfectly willing to let this drop, but if your goal is to continue to bait me in to furthering this argument with you ... then I'm just simply going to start reporting your posts. My initial joke about the "pope of compression" was just a joke, and I found it rather funny. If I misrepresented my earlier point and came across like an a-hole, then I apologize again. But at this point, you're not helping your cause any.

Let it drop, already.

Boss LMB-3 limiter
is less squashy,
cheap,($35-$40 used)
and NO low end suck,

It's a limiter, not a comp,
but its low end headroom seems limitless, it limits my levels, period.
No really audible tone changes that I can hear.

It does it's job,very non-invasive,

try one before u add a big rack unit to your rig..
you'll be surprised, mine performs like a champ..
