I've been there, done that. Someone comes along and says my item is priced too high when I clearly have an offer table. It happens enough that it is quite annoying. I've been in many spats with wingnuts who think the internet is their way of puffery - on both sides of the transaction (buyers and sellers).

I got a response. Wow. All I can say is, if she really does own a music store, thank god she's closing it.

Everyone in the world who knows Fender knows it was built by the Fender Music Company and is a Fender, I'm not the only ad that puts Fender in and not squier. However, If you read all the contents of the add up top instead of rushing to the description and even in the description you will read under model.. SQUIER! thank you Caroline PEOPLE GET A LIFE!!! this is the 50 time I've been told it's maple, you mean maple like what they put on top of Les Pauls, isn't that better then SWAMP ASH which really isn't ASH. We ran out of Ash wood, we used it all up, and Alder, Cheap guitars are now made of Pine. they are Pinecasters.. keep up. I owned a music store for 40 years, you know how many musicians I talk to, how many articles I read. For crying out loud it's only a Cheap Squier Bass, with Duncan Design Pickups.. that sound pretty good I might add. What do you all want from your dollar. I'm trying to close my store and get out of dept. Give me a break will ya's. thank you Caroline

Looked at the ad again. She's responded publicly to questions:

Q: Not ash but maple.....

A: one more time, I'm going to burn it in the yard, not maple ash not ash swamp ash something from the swamp. Maple, it only weighs four pounds you know how much maple weighs.. where did you read this junk?

Q: It's listed as a Fender, but you mention Squire pieces in the ad. It appears to be a Squire Vintage Modified body from the pictures. Those are maple, not ash. I'm just trying to be helpful if you had mistakenly listed it as something that it is not. If it actually is an ash body Fender, I am interested in it. Have a great day, -Mike.

Don't surpass the carrier's dimensional thresholds. I do it all the time and it is quite easy. Just get a skinnier (width and length) box. UPS has dimensional thresholds which seem to me to be slightly lower than FedEx. USPS clearly states their thresholds.

Me: I see your ad for this bass. After looking at Fender's website, I determined that this is a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz. The body is made from maple, not ash. Also, you said Leo used poly. Correction; he used nitrocelulose laquer. I can get the entire bass, brand new on Musicians Friend for $257.14, shipped. Is this auction an early April fools joke?

Her: but you can't get the body for 249. delivered

Check Fender's website and try again. I saved you some time by finding the link. And I wish you luck since the whole bass can be bought brand new with a warranty for $257 shipped, no tax. You probably don't believe me so I posted the link for that too. And by the way, they still show the body as being maple.
