Im not aspiring to be a session artist ne-way, so i cant see the point of standard notation if all im gonna play is stuff ive heard before, or stuff im making up!
Its not like im gonna bother learning a song if ive never heard it before!

also, im pretty dumb.Theory does not exist in my world :rolleyes: :eek: .
 
music notation is so simple,its only hard if you try to learn with someone who cant explain it simple.I think im gonna start a thread about the basics of notation.

What if you join a band and you dont have time to practice with them before a gig?they would have to give you the sheet music.if they gave you tab you wouldnt know what timing to play it in,when to rest,how long to hold a note etc....
 
first off: anyone who doesnt know what a major scale is has no buissness playing ska

secondly: mustard plug is the coolest ska band in the world, ive seen them live four times (im from the same town they are) they kick ass live

third: mustard plug just got a new bassist and they are writting a new alblum, i suggest you all buy it when it comes out
