Hiding your mini-amp

a great big afro hairdo would come in handy about now...you could stash all sorts of stuff in there--LMII, wallet, nachos...
I'm with the crowd voting new faceplate, but in a secure, no-mar version.
1. do a photoshop
2. print it on sticker paper
3. cut the sticker sheet to size
4. apply it to a thin sheet magnet, also cut to size
5. cut holes for knobs, switch, LEDs, and faceplate screws with an exacto knife
6. apply your new magnetic faceplate
7. drink that custom spray-painted sixer to celebrate

It's like sitting around with a bunch of your buddy's drinking from the afore mentioned black beer cans.
You get some answers that range from trying to be helpful to the silly joke.
Several good ideas, I personaly like the suggestion of the bright colored suit to distract from the head.
I dont mind the colors of my LMII, but mine sits on a black carpeted 4X10

Do what we do in television production.
Pull the knobs off, and then lay some electrical tape over all that freakin' yellow. Cut out the tape where it says what the controls are for (like bass.)
Then you've got a nondescript black box. Excellent.

shroud it in very airy nylon black fabric.. I'm not sure what they call the stuff..
While on the road all stage cases had black shrouding.. looked impecibly classy..

put it in a shoebox
i saw some kid who gutted a combo and built it into a shoe box.
since you dont have to gut anything and the head is already incased the most you have to do is maybe cut out some holes with scissors in the front of it. you could paint the shoebox too if it floats your boat.

you could always just throw a black t-shirt or cloth over it while you play... just lay it over after sound check... then if you need to change a setting all you ahve to do is lift the shirt for 2 seconds
hOW ABOUT A MOUNTING SYSTEM LIKE ON THE GENZ BENZ SHUTTLE CABS?ONLY ON THE BACK ,TOWARDS THE TOP WHERE YOU CAN HAVE EASY ACCESS?
How about mounting the head in a replacement Vox head cabinet? A TB'er here did that sometime ago to hide a GK head. But then again, one would have another kind of clash-mismatch going on.
Someone needs to come up with a retro head box design to enclose the new micro amps, which can look out of place on top of about any cab.

HOW DARE YOU!!! The early double baffle B-15 cabs are not muddy at all. They are pretty flat for a cab with a single 15". And even the Thiele cabs of the 70's weren't muddy for a cab that has nothing past 2k and a huge low mid. True, they won't do the icepick tones that you go for, but nobody wants thatActually, a 90 degree turn would work great.
If it was me, I'd get rid of that muddy, butt ugly Ampeg cabThat's the real fix to the issue
