High mass vs low mass bridge

I do not like looking at rusty L's, which I had on 2 old basses.

I love the look of the BA bridge and have replaced a couple rusty L’s with them myself. Lately I’ve been slimming down my collection and experimenting with different strings, so bridges with the slot on the top for quick changes is more the focus now. My P bass came with a Hipshot B and it’s super light, and the bass sounds great to me…a high mass replacement would probably sound great too.

They can be more stable, also, if the L is a particularly bad one - I replaced one onna Japanese Rick copy ( called, "Bad Rickie") that I play slide on and it totally tightened up the tuning, and mebbe the sound in the sense that the strings are tighter in the saddles, perhaps because the grooves seem longer.

Further to my previous post, name brand items like the Hipshots aren't necessary either. There are plenty of other great bridges out there for less money like Guykers and Omegas and Sung-Il, which are on a lot of gear stock, but you'd never know.
