after months of planning over the summer i decided to build a bass. i dont have much for power tools like a planer or joiner or table saw at home so i decided to make it a school project. started to make sketches during the summer and here are som pics of the scetch

and here are some small peices i have made

and yes that funky lookn piece at the end is the bridge. the piece that looks like a boot is the input and volume jack plate kinda thing and the big rectangle peice is the pickup cover. but the picture doesnt do justice to the bridge piece it has about 20 peices in it and about 5 different wood species, its really cool lookin.
i have the body it is or was a big chunk of black walnut and i made some padouk stripes in it. the nick origionally was gonna be purple heart but after everything was glued up and planed and joined the thing twisted so i had to start over with maple nice and straight grained i hope it works.
the progress will be slow its tough to get anything done the way my schedual is laid out but i hope to finish it in a couple months. please feel free to critisize and comment all welcome
Thanks, Paul
