Hmm. A Question About the Drummer!

Fire the drummer?

I would be impressed. It can be challenging to fire the unemployed.

Oh! I've got that part all brained-out, too. You just need to play along.

Hey, @Discount Bassy I haven't been able to get out and play, lately and I have a bunch of music for which I need drums. How about you get an electronic kit (makes it easier to record, at home) and I'll take you on?

Are you willing to get an electronic kit?

I bought an electronic set earlier this year and I absolutely love it, and find it relaxing to play for an hour or so a day. That being said, I have got mad a few times and stormed out of my music room in a semi drunken rage, vowing that "I'm done with this BS, man, DONE"
15 minutes later I was fine and back behind the drums.

Have not actually fired myself yet, though.

Me too. Check out Drumeo, thousands of tunes/lessons. Lots of fun. Melodics is pretty cool too.

The price point of the acoustic kit I was looking at was pretty reasonable. I might be inclined to purchase an electronic kit if I can get a decent hiring bonus.

I just got back from the used drum purchasing adventure and am now officially in possession of drums. I believe that at least by proxy, I am a drummer. I did give Discountess Bassy a heads up about the purchase after the fact, and of note, she did not fire me. It is also possible that because she was looking for several decent snare stands for her hand pans, a fact that I did manage to recall whilst gassing for drums and related tidbits, that she might have been distracted from my noob drummerhood enough to keep me employed for now.

Come to think of it, when I spent more on a barimatone saxamaphone than I have on any car over the last 35 years, she didn't even write me up or put me on probation. I am a lucky fellow.
