Looks like the Contemporary loses the neck binding and has different volume knobs

I'm new to TB, in fact this is the first post I've ever made. I recently got an Icon. I got it used and it needs a bit of work. For some reason the output on the E and A strings is really low. I talked to one of my buddies that has the same bass and he said he has the same problem. Anyone else run into this problem?

Long story short... Guitar Center screwed up my order for an Icon, and it never came so I ended up buying jackajesusfreak's blue CT... I am loving this bass.
