Also, could use some help on replacement tuners. The ones that came stock with the H500/1-CT are a little hard to turn. Found these, but not sure if they will work with this model:

The Hofner Hounds Forum is a great resource for all things Hofner. These Brits know their Hofner's and are available to date and identify vintage Hofner's.

By choice?
Wow, that black looks very slick. My CT is the brown burst, but I upgraded all the pearloids to authentic German ones. I'm actually getting ready to list that bass for sale if anyone is looking.....
Just bought my first Hofner. Contempory series 500/1. I love it. Its so fast and light. Its insane.
Oh and it looks gorgeous.
Why are you dumping it? Did you swap out the switches or just the plastic?

Hey; I've been reading some earlier posts and fond some interesting notes. If you're taking more members I think I might qualify with a 5000/1-R and a 500/2 CT. Heres a couple of shots taken from my phone.
used to own (many years ago) a german 500/1 and a german 500/2. loved them. i recently bought a red club ct and it was instant love.
