Holloween costume ideas?

One of my bands has a Halloween gig and we all agreed to dress up. The keyboard player is dressing like Elton John, guitarist like Slash...the drummer hasn't decided yet. Any ideas for me? I originally thought about Gene Simmons but it's too involved, especially with the makeup.

One idea is a Sgt Pepper outfit but if anyone has some other suggestions I'd love to hear them:

This year my band is going ghost busters. Alternative was Thriller zombies. No makeup need for ghost busters. It's basically tan coveralls with a patch on the sleeve. I have a few items around the house to accessorize; goggles, rubber gloves, boots, belt, elbow pads. Done.

These don't make any sense to me. If you "dress like" one of these guys, but aren't one of these guys, you just wind up looking like a generic rocker of some sort. Never mind that most people on Earth wouldn't recognize the real Derrick or Sid or Lemmy.


I think you gotta go more universal appeal..... which means you may want to ask somebody other than us bass nerds.

If you have a day job, ask around the office. Don't ask musicians. Other than maybe Paul McCartney and Sting, most humans couldn't name you a famous bass player. So don't dress up like one.
