Thanks. That's some lovely metalwork there. CNC, or by hand?

Damn this is awesome
Will the whammy with the eight effectively give you sixteen?Very nice.
I finished my eight about the same time as I got a whammy pedal, thereby making the eight unnecessary. Obviously that's not 100% true, but playing a four through that whammy pedal is really close to what the eight sounds like live.
As usual you do amazing work!

Nut is about...What did you end up for nut width, and the spacing between the primary and octave strings at the nut?

.... (I'll post some pics soon)
Any chance of a quick sound clip?And...
I hooked up my "Abyssal Depths" ...far sensing, under-top, embeded pickups... custom wound & created especially for this bass, by my good friend... @michaelwayneharwood
They are absolutely amazing... & this 8 banger sounds phenominal
We just need to up the output of the preamp a bit & this thing will sound "Hammer of the Gods" -like ....as it should.![]()
That is definitely a possibility,...but one for sometime in the future. Andy is currently very busy preparing for the Dixie Dregs "Reincarnation" tour which kicks off in early March in the eastern half of the country. It will be the original lineup from 40 years ago. I have it on good authority that Phoenix will infact be one of the select cities graced with their presence. I can't wait!Wow, didn't recognize him, but I love Dixie Dregs. Too cool! Hope you get to build him a killer Rockhewer bass...![]()
