Home amp suggestions?!

TC Electronic BG250-112 250W 1x12 Bass Combo Amp with 2 TonePrint Slots Black. I have the
head only, and it is a great sounding head. This costs about $ 330. shipped. The amp by itself was $250. You could probably gig with this(at reasonable volume) and only weighs 34 pounds! The tone print feature is cool as hell. You use your phone to install effects.

Bought a Rumble 40, eh....
Modified as per a members post, sorry don't remember name.
Eminence S2010 $80ish , re tuned ports, $7, baffled to taste inside
Very pleased. reduced weight to approx 17 lbs.
Completely different amp and plenty loud.

Excellent, pricey but you'll never want to sell it

do you like tweeters on your bass amps?
if yes, Warwick BC80 is very nice.
if not, a Rumble 100 will get you there.

I actually got rid of both, but still have my TC BG250-115 for larger events. for my home practice a Double Four is enough small, enough loud and enough good sounding. I do miss my Warwick combo sometimes, but not that much.

My son liked my BC40 so much he has it now. :)

I realise I'm comparing what I call 'bright' from my GK 212 to the Ampeg 410 and thats with the Ampeg at quite low master and gain volumes. Maybe a lower power driven harder might make the difference?
Well I haven't played the particular 410 you're using, which looks to be the PF410hlf in your avatar, but I'd think it has the capacity for brightness in it since the SVT 410hlf does. Does have a very deep bottom end, though, so that might be playing into it.

I recently sold a micro CL! How does the micro vr compare with the 20T for clarity etc? I see a popular UK online retailer has them on sale currently!
The Micro VR is a better head than the Micro CL (as it should be), but even though the PF-50T is only 20w, I'd still rather have a tube head. That said, I've had a Micro VR for 8 years now and it's always delivered the goods.
