Hot! Hot! Hot!

It's done nothing but rain here in Western NY for the last month...... and I know why. I recently pulled my 79 Blazer out of storage after a 5 year hibernation, and with a leaky sunroof it's no wonder we've had so much rain. The truck is far too tall for a normal garage, so I've got the roof covered with plastic sheets in an attempt to keep the interior dry.

Recharging batteries. Hard choices at home. Cut my hair short. Removing Facebook profile. Needed place that felt serene and peaceful.
Pacific Grove / Monterey. 61 degrees here.

Beautiful place to sit and have good cry.
Will be selling a lot of gear in the near future.

We are here to listen if you care to elaborate. :)

Escape is what I'm doing. 13 years as an enabler for a blackout alcoholic, I've run out of forgiveness, and emotional reserves. Love makes one blind.
OMG lurking today but just here now to let you know I feel your pain. The difficult things are difficult and sometimes you just need distance and perspective. Hope it gets better. Feel free to reach out.

Thanks, hugs :)
Sitting on the sand, watching the waves crash on the rocks, hearing the sounds, smelling the pines. Sences filled with good, fresh air. Beautiful.

Perspective, I don't need to stay trapped. It's like lifeguards are warned about during training: a drowning person will climb on top of you to save themselves, with no consideration that you are their best hope for survival, and they could harm you in the process.

I'm serene and feel good overall.
The Monterey peninsula has been a favorite spot since I was a kid.
Good memories.
