How can i get THIS Bass Tone?

Hey all,


So my bass tone i have for myself is alot of treble, bit of mid and bass, and gain at lunch time.

I understand i need a pedal and some tweaking for this tone, but what do i do and where do i start?

Should be pretty obvious for which part of the song has the bass tone for what i want, but incase, its the intro/chorus.

decent amp, EQ is 250k cut, boosted in the 40-100k mark, boosted 800k.
Distortion pedal, my Aguilar Agro would get pretty close to this sound. It's played with a pick.

I dunno, but yeah decent, heavy strings, distortion and some EQ will get you very close

Ah, I've got an ad200b head, so no eq on it. I was thinking an Agro would get close to this tone anyway, Been meaning to get one for a while now.

Fyi, you AD200 head has a Fender to stack in it. For flat frequency responce, your knobs should read: bass & treble at 0, mids at 10.
You have more mids on tap, but can't push them heavily without a pedal.
I run my TerrorBass with the same tonestack as such: bass and treble at noon, mids at 3 o'clock and it's plenty midpresent.
This should help.

you won't be disappointed, it's a great pedal. It's pretty versatile, I use it sometimes to add a bit of flavour.. you know that sorta tube-warmth sound, but othertimes you can crank it up and get full-blown chainsaw death. It's pretty awesome.

Also I notice you're from Brissie, I used to live there, for about a year in 2008. Cool town, Mouthguard are rad dudes and a pretty killer band.
