Ok, well, I give up. I'm just a guy who will never like the taste of beer. I figure im just a liquor guy, and that's just the way I am.
Tonight I bought a 6 pack of Hoegaarden. My girlfriend bought a 6 pack of Chuck's Cider (Raspberry), a 6 pack of Michelob Ultra Light, and a 12 pack of Bud light. The only one I liked the slightest bit was the Chuck's Cider, and I think that was only because it was Cider.
Now don't get me wrong, Hoegaarden was good for a beer I guess, because I had half a glass of Hoegaarden, decided it wasn't really for me, took a sip of the Michelob Ultra Light, and thought that stuff tasted like complete garbage. So even though im not a beer drinker I can still distinguish good beer from bad beer.
I think it's the hops though. It's just that beer taste. No matter how good or bad the beer is, it will always have that taste, and honestly I don't think il be able to down a full glass of the stuff. The 2 main reasons why I wanted to really try and like it was because I had seen so many beers that looked good, and because beer is just simply the social alcoholic beverage of choice. I mean c'mon... when you go to a barbeque with your family they are going to have a cooler full of cheap beer, not a fifth of Captain Morgan's on the counter with some glasses, ice, and a 2 liter of coke.
Oh well... im tired, partially drunk, and rambling. Seems as though I can enjoy a good cigar but will never be able to enjoy a good beer.
Thanks for all you suggestions and advice.
