How did i get myself into this?????

i had an unsuspected gig today(saturday). i was doing sound for the prayer rally, but the bass player could not make it. luckly i had my bass with me in the car

I was working on an ABBA tribute band that rehearsed and prepared well, and even made it to gig stage at a nice local theatre. But lack of proper management and business sense (most notably) killed it. Shoulda known something was seriously askew when I pulled into the guy's driveway on the very first rehearsal and his ONLY car (even though he played both keys, and guitar and sang and had apparently been doing this "for years") consisted of one Audi TT convertible. And then later that day, he called Pink Floyd "over-rated 1-hit wonders". I'm cool with trans choice and music taste to a degree, but I should have heard the coo-coo clock clucking...

Live and learn. Oh, and he had his (supposedly) classically trained pianist friend at some university pick out and transcribe the parts for me. Yeah, 'cause my ear wasn't good enough or something... :/
