I specifically buy and modify mine to be different from each other, all 21 to 24" scale.

And I thought my 30" scale P-copy was a shorty! Whoo, I'd love to play some of your super-short-scale basses just to see what it's like.

I don't get gas for many basses but that black Reverend .......

I assume it is a Thundergun. How do you find it? I'm not a fan of set necks but it's gotta be black (diversity in colours is not for me) and if i am going to have a neck pickup then I'd prefer a MM over a jazz type..... and the Mercalli 4 doesn't come in black.Hmmmmmm.

I found a used Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV in Russo Music about a year ago...the active one. Picked it up, plugged it in and thought it sounded pretty good...definitely worth every penny of the $300 they were asking for it. I only had $100 in my pocket so I put it on layaway.
Went back the following week to pick it up and saw the Thundergun. Busy day there behind the counter so I grabbed the Reverend and plugged it into a Fender Rumble 50...five minutes later I knew I had to have it. So I gave them the $200 in my pocket and told them I no longer wanted the Thunderbird.
If they'd had a bright red one, I would've eventually bought it, too.
It's Gunmetal but they come in black, too.

The neck pickup is a reverse P they call the Split Brick.
The bridge pickup is a Thick Brick.

SPLIT BRICK NECK
Strong lows and highs, open mids. Like a vintage P bass pickup but with more beef, yet retains clarity. 43 gauge wire, ceramic magnet, 8.5K ohms.
THICK BRICK BRIDGE
Warm and thick with strong mids. Output and punch like an active, but more organic sounding. 42 gauge wire, ceramic magnet, 7K ohms.

Thanks for that. I think if i could get my hands on one of them or the Meshell Ndegeocello in black I'd grab it in a second.
