How do you feel about body modification?

I know you don't want to hear it, kiddo, but she CRAZY. One thing you'll (eventually) learn in life is that people like that be it a band mate or woman, they'll take you and whoever they can grab down with them. A signature move of women is to often get between you and your best friend, so you end up single and without a bud to even have a beer with.

Amen to that. It literally just happened to me, two weeks ago.

You're young, just like me. I hate to say it dude, but you two are just in different places. I'm just like you, he female body is beautiful. So go and find as many different female bodies to lay against as you possibly can. Don't worry about what she wants to do, its her. Do what you want to do.

Your Freudian slip is showing. Maybe there's more to your situation than you are ready to admit as well! :D

There is another little saying that can apply here. If it's meant to be, let go and it will come back to you.

But you don't get there by pick at each other and your differences. If you are focusing on winning subjective arguments where there really is no right or wrong side, you are more into the fight than you are the relationship.

Listen to Jive and Munji on this one. Sorry about the harsh reality of your gf. If she actually is how you describe her (that's all we have to go from) you're opening yourself up a lot of problems. Not to mention the fact, that at 16, you shouldn't be in a serious relationship with a chick (whether she's got mental problems or not). Don't be in such a hurry to grow up and adopt another person's problems. I know you think you're all grown up, and that you know everything, but the fact remains that you're not, and you're not equipped to take this on. One thing about being sixteen is that you're fiercely loyal (if you have this trait), and while this is generally a good thing, it can also create a lot of problems big enough to stunt your own development and progress through life. So take a step back and look at the responses here. They're wise. I have tattoos, I also have a career and a family that I'm supporting. Listen to Munji. He represents the corporate voice that, like it or not, still rules this land. While you can make your life a success with tattoos and body mods in visible places, you're severely limiting your options. People judge you by how you look. Nothing worse than having an interview discussing your looks as opposed to your qualifications of the job.

(Voice of experience, here)
People who mutilate like this have some serious, deep-seated issues. While they can be fun and astoundingly sexy in the short term, you do NOT want to be in a long term relationship with someone like this. Run, don't walk, away from this girl. If you stay with her, she will eventually ruin your life, and mess up all future relationships, too.

Don't misunderstand, I have tattoos, I have my ears pierced. These types of small, tasteful modifications are generally merely self-expression, and may/may not be signs of problems. However, when people start using gauge, or piercing/branding their bodies extensively, or have more than a few tattoos, then it is an issue of which one should be leery.

You OPINION makes me sick to my stomach. :scowl:

"Using Guage"..that's funny and shows your ignorance clearly.

Since when did scars become a fashionable form of body modification?

I earned my scars the hard way by having a car's bumper travelling at 60+ mph almost rip my leg off while I was walking.

Personally, I feel the same way about scars... feel like they should be earned if anything. But i've seen some pretty cool scars.

I didn't read all the "girlfriend" responses because i'm on my phone , but I did read a lot. I appreciate you trying to help me, but it's unsolicited and clutters up the original topic. I've already asked for it to stop. I do legitimately appreciate the effort that went into many of the posts, especially the very long thought out ones.

As for the 2% statistic, I thought it was lower, and i've accepted that the chances of most things continuing for 15 years is even lower... but if it's important, I treat them like they'll be successful. I treat my band like we're going to be touring the world and selling millions one day, even though I realize the astronomical chances of that happening.

Are bass clef tattoos overdone?

Extreme body modification is crazy and so is your girlfriend. You don't like the stuff she's talking about doing but you still want to stay with her. You're whipped, boyo, and the sooner you blow her off and move on the happier you'll be.
