In my case I just remember since I use the same strings on all of them except the 8-string. (I wish DR made an 8-string set) Or you can just keep a small part of the box in your case or bag.

Cut the relevant part of the string box up and keep it in your gear closet/bag. Or write it with permanent marker on the back of your bass neck.

Seriously, how difficult is it to just remember?
If not, just write it down on a piece of paper, then keep the paper in your gig bag.
I actualy go the high-tech route and have a spreadsheet that keeps track of each bass and what type of strings I have on, how long they've been on, and how long the batteries have been installed in each bass.
