Once you get a couple of buys done it gets much easier to buy more. Nzpost "YouShop" system even gives you a US mailing address, just be upfront about that when making an offer, paypal doesn't let you register it.

Okay, after hating it and ragging on it at first, I'm coming around.

For me the first big move to liking was switching to the Retro skin. I think most people who don't like the new look will accept the retro skin.

Love the Alerts. Lets you go straight to a post you're quoted in, lets you see people who liked your post, etc.

Have not tried out how the classifieds have been improved but anxious to see...

This just might work after all... :p

I'm impressed with the (by and large) smooth transition from the old, outdated and insecure software. IME, Murphy's Law applies double to massive data migration, but Paul and the staff have been commendably alert and responsive to reports of inevitable glitches, as well as to requests for further modifications. TB is now on a state-of-the-art platform with many new and enhanced functions, and while users all have their personal habits and expectations, it won't take too long for things to settle down. A darker-toned theme already seems to be in the works for those of us who want our TB "blue". The "Like" button will probably serve to cut down on the "+1" posts, although I wish it could be implemented as an "Agree/Disagree" pair, with a simple count for either.

It's alright. I understand the reason for the format change, I'll adapt.

Thank God for the retro option, though. The 2014 version seems designed to make it as difficult as possible to see the date and time of a post.

I like it. As with any change, it will take some getting used to. I do understand and appreciate all the hard work the moderators and others have put in for the transition to update the software.

I do miss the TalkBass iPhone app, I used that all the time. Hopefully it will return at some point.

I just discovered the new search that will let you enter FT, MM, BB, JB and get an answer ! yesss woot no more bogus "this does no compute"this is too short this is too common of a term. I also like the like button.

I don't like it, it's clunky and cheap looking. It lacks the bold links, and the home page does not tell you which forums the threads are in. Also, when you click forums, it doesn't highlight the active discussions or thread titles. I also don't like the font sizes/styles

I feel exactly the same way. I hadn't gotten the initiative to muck around and see if I could get 40 though. You get a Like!

I mentioned this the first day the new TB debuted. I also had the blue skin, as the white makes it harder for me to read.

I also gave you a "like" for your observation, and for being cool in the first place.
