How do you like your hot dogs !!!

There is only one "top dog"...the NYC vendor cart dog; Sabrett, natural casing. I'll take a Nathan's in a pinch, however. All beef...anything else is bologna (literally).

Thuman's mustard is preferred when making dogs at home (I have over a dozen mustards in the fridge...I say this after considerable research).

From the cart in NY, I'll take mustard, and that red onion sauce.
 
Well, after much time, trial and error... I know what I like on it, its slowly become what I always get now, kinda simple not too much but... not plain :smug:


Mustard, little ketchup, Relish, Onions, Jalapeños, some pickle.



SO good.

German mustard and 'kraut.

Or regular mustard and pickle relish.

Or with chili and cheese.

I also prefer my 'dogs grilled on the pit, not fried or boiled. They taste better with that carbon on 'em.
