How do you like your steak cooked?

Medium. Sometimes medium well.

Just had steak recently at my favorite steakhouse, Uncle Jack's in Bayside, NY.
It is imperative for all you NY steak lover's to try this place if you haven't been. It kicks Peter Luger's ass.

Really?

I'll have to check it out then. ;)

As for my steak - WELL DONE!

And well done does not necessarily mean burnt!

It can be accomplished if you simply cook it a few moments past medium-well.

Can I let y'all in on a little secret?

Steak is not my favorite food by a long shot.

I know, I know - heresy!

+1 my band plays a dinner-dance gig a couple of times a year at a Black Angus ranch in VA. They serve some of the best steak I've ever had! You can literally cut it with your fork. And that's a PLASTIC fork!
I wish I didn't have to sing at that gig, so I could eat my fill!

Bleu cheese filet mignon, medium-rare, Chicago style.

Redstone American Grill has a signature dish like the one you described. Awesome food.

My steaks: medium-rare. If it's a place I haven't been to yet, it's medium-well. Every burger I order is well done though, last "medium" burger I had I was violently ill at 3 am.
