99% percent of "powered" basses use 9V batteries. There are a few exceptions.
My Deluxe Jazz uses a nine volt, but it's upgradeable to 18 volts. Haven't looked inside the battery compartment of my Ibanez SR506 yet.![]()

Actually 1 9V that's hidden inside the bass. No one even knows its there.
I think filling the electronics compartment with cottage cheese is the best way to go. Then allow a sheep to defecate on your face. It should give a vintage 70's jazz tone.
