how heavy is your rack?

haujobb, what space will your new rack be? When i exchange my power amp out and get the digital one space I should be around 70lbs. Is 70lbs a decent weight for an 8 space or do i still have too much weight in there?

4 space ATA spec flightcase with PV900, Sansamp RBI, and a power conditioner. I don't have a scale but I'd estimate maybe 60 lbs.

I know the PV is 33 lbs, the RBI is a couple, the power conditioner might be a pound. The rack itself is pretty heavy. I just looked it up and Odyssey's site say 28 lbs for the rack.

If I had the scratch, I'd like to downsize to a lighter 3-4 space and replace the PV with a Stewart 1.2. That would probably knock it down to 30-35ish

I guess I should calrify on mine *L*

5-space rolling rack
Ampeg SVT-3 PRO
Furhman Power conditioner
Behringer patch bay

I will probably add some other stuff to that.. Maybe a second head. not sure.

If I add a second head, it will run to about 60 lbs.

here is a pic of it

Last wednesday was the independence day of Brazil . I was waiting to see the presidente talk . But was very difficult . The country were in silence . So I was disturbed . I was listening Robert Smith and cry a lot . Made me better . And for the end I find a new love . I don´t known if it will going on . But I am calm and reflectiviting and living my life mesmarise she is. :hiding:

iAmp 800: < 20 lbs. Soft case, no rack.
I carry one of two cabs, each weigh ~50lbs.

I haven't used my rack rig for about 6 months, but it weighs 45-65 pounds depending on whether I use a 6 space or 4 space configuration. My current rule of thumb is to carry nothing that weighs over ~60lbs. In your situation I'd carry two four spacers, most likely.

My old rack was up in the 60's. Crown CE power, Demeter pre, whichever 1 ru compressor I favored that week and whichever 1 ru eq I felt like and a 1 ru tuner...

Screw that - the new rack is 30 lbs. GK 1001 RB II. 1 ru compressor, 1 ru filler and handheld tuner ... to my current way of thinking, anything over abotu 30 lbs belongs to the FOH system which is where all my od rack crap now sits ...

except for the Demeter which is off in other hands.

Ok?
I'm not sure how that applies here, but I'm glad you had fun.
