Damn.
That has to be a tube poweramp.
No, it's all solid state.

Looked in your profile, Green. Is that the same as the Matamp Green?

Maverick Blues said:Interesting thread. I'm at the office still, but when I get home I'll toss my rack on a scale and edit the weight into this post.
In the meantime, I notice at least a few of you have single-space tuners in your racks, and a discussion about rig weight is a good place to ask about those.
When I was putting my rig together I knew I wanted the convenience of an "always on" tuner rather than having to drag one out and plug it up whenever I wanted to tune or check things. But I just couldn't see devoting a whole rack space to it, plus the additional weight (of the tuner, but also of the larger rack if it forced me to size up).
Since I was designing/building my own preamp I implemented a tuner there, and the readout is three little multi-color LEDs: left is flat, right is sharp, and center is home. I set up the color combinations so I get quite a number of fine steps from just those three LEDS. Using flat as an example (sharp works the same way but on the right side rather than the left):
WHITE/GREEN/WHITE - Perfectly in tune
YELLOW/GREEN/WHITE - Ever-so-slightly flat
YELLOW/YELLOW/WHITE - A bit more flat
YELLOW/WHITE/WHITE - Flatter still
ORANGE/WHITE/WHITE - Pretty darned flat
RED/WHITE/WHITE - Dude, when was the last time you tuned?!
