Things I have learned...
1) You don't need expensive gear to sound good. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
2) Tha audience mostly don't care about the logo on your gear. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
3) Bass players are failed guitarists who ended up on bass by default. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
4) Bass is really the driving force of a band, and in the midst of chaos, the other musicians follow "the reliable one"? This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
5) You should really know the song and how to play it before you go into the studio. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
6) You ought to work on your stagecraft and engage with the audience. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
7) You should learn you instrument and improve your technique. This is said all the time on TB, but this guy gets slagged off for saying it.
8) TB is full of people who really get defensive about spending money on their gear. At no point did he say not to buy expensive gear, he said it wasn't a priority, because the audience really doesn't care.
How can so many of you miss the point like that?
