Umm, about a year and a half for me. But I also played for a few years in high school and college, just noodling around really.

31 years now...yeh I'm just starting to get the hang of it too! Typical situation: no bass player, a drummer, 3 guitar players in 1st high school band. I'm the worst guitar player, so I get religated to try bass...bought a T-40 and I was hooked!
