I wear it high such that, when seated, the bass is just about an inch off my leg. That seems to work for me. Higher than that and it starts to affect my plucking hand. Lower and it starts to affect my fretting hand.

How low slung is your bass?

Kind of a strange stance, I guess. It's by the belt buckle, and my headstock is always in my peripheral vision just to the left. Tilted up, I guess. It's just how I play standing.
The finish on your bass is nice but I like the shirt even more! I saw them on the Thirteenth Step tour and they were great.
Mid-90's, it was a trio w/acoustic guitar, bass, & drums called Loser's Club. Uum...think high energy Simon & Garfunkel...? It was all originals, & we also had mad Beatles influences, so lots of 2-part harmonies. This was during alternative's heyday, & everybody wanted to sound like Nirvana/Alice/blah blah. We didn't, & didn't care. The main songwriter was really talented, & we had a blast doing our thing in Portland.

Judging from the photos that have been posted, I’d say that I wear mine at an average height.
As a kid, I always thought that Jimmy Page looked cool with his Les Paul slung really low. I gave it a try, but there’s no way that would have worked. It wouldn’t have taken long to develop serious elbow/wrist injuries with my left arm.

I wear my bass high enough so that I can play the E (or B) string around the 12th position without significantly changing my hand position.
When I practice sitting down, I use a classical guitar footstool to prop my left leg up a bit and rest the base on my left thigh. I have my strap set so that when I stand up, the bass is roughly in the same place.

Yes, I wonder how some people can play at all, let alone good, with the guitar/bass hanging so low like Page.
Interesting! My first ever record (vinyl) was Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits and to this day I'd like to come up with a cool bassline for Scarborough Fair. In the 90s though I was into Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Stereo MCs, Adamski and EDM, and The Clash/Big Audio Dynamite. Never liked grunge, really. Apologies to the OP for digressing.
with her 1st strap it was only about 50% let out . . . But, from the moment she got this strap 5 years ago She has only ever played or practiced with it 100% as long as it can go. She only plays finger style and I would say the very top of the headstock sits just below her bellybutton.
Mine is held so my belt buckle fits in the body curve eliminating the possibility of buckle rash.
