Argh...I've been down to ZERO for the past couple years due to health issues and a now-ex-wife who ruined me financially and took and sold everything of value I owned to feed her gambling addiction.

In fact, this is my first post here for a looong time, but I've missed the place and am dying to get a bass again soon. I've literally been dreaming of playing bass on a regular basis while I sleep. Been hanging at music shops just to get my hands on one for awhile whenever I can.

Thinking about just a CV Squier P in black and maple. I dunno. I'll find the right one.

Been playing bass since 1977. It's a part of me I can't give up forever.

With the acquisition of my T-45 I just ticked over the 10 mark. Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's been a collection a decade and a half in the making and I do play most of my basses somewhat regularly. Still, even though none of them are particularly rare or valuable, 10 feels kind of like the line that makes you a collector. Also the thought of having to keep them all well setup and maintained is a bit daunting.

Not selling any though!

How things change in just 3 years...

I've been downsizing my collection since then. The T-45 is long gone...
If you don't count my Upright and the barely-playable parts bass I build solely to have the members of TRAVIS sign and hang on my wall, I'm now down to 5! It will be back up to 6 when Lowdown finishes building the new home for the Darkstars from my frankenbass that I parted out. I have a real hard time seeing it go below these 6 though.

-Wendler Electrocoustic 35" Fretless - My dream fretless made to my specs.
-Carlo, Custom 4-94 style 35" by Carl Pedigo - My main gigging bass
-Franken Jazz with LDB 35" neck and maple pickguard. - Other main gigger
-1979 T'40- Favorite recording bass.
-1995 MIM P-bass. Everything but the body and neck is modded. - My first electric bass and has my wife's name carved in it.
-To-Be-Built (top already bought) Lowdown Bass 35" Dual-Darkstar, Tele-style, P-bass.

6 basses is still more than I need but I think I'm safely out of "collector" status now.

... as of Thursday, I have a Status streamline on order - so when it gets here (hopefully around Christmas) it will be #11.

Once it arrives, I'm going to start thinning the herd

Not a scratch on it.

That is tough as hell! So nice. I'm a huge Gretsch fan.

How is it?

THUNDEROUS! With all three pickups on and in phase it's the loudest bass I've ever played. Louder than my active basses. Some neck dive. Put new rounds on it and set it up and it plays nice. The fret ends are a little rough but overall it's a killer.
