Dean Jeff Berlin Signature Patchwork. My Christmas present to me. I should have it shortly.
I've been watching this on GC used for awhile. Occasionally, it would seem to disappear...but it was always there. It all depended on how you searched for it. It's the USA model which I did not realize until I contacted the store. Comes with C.O.A. and original Dean HSC. They'll be shipping it to the GC that is near my work place. Probably have it before the end of next week. This will be my first USA Dean.

Did you notice that a third of respondents to the poll have 5 or more? "Up next, a special bass guitar edition of Hoarders..."

I'm surprised. Maybe not. I do have net one more bass (now 4) than when I came to TB. I could go either way on attributing the increase to the forum or musical necessity. If I own 5 bass guitars, I'm definitely pulling the rope. Something would have to leave. I just bought strings for all four. That did not tickle.

Yeah... and not only strings - most of them demand custom straps, posh gigbags, fancy stands... not to mention pickups &etc.

And the constant pouting if you dont play them everyday...

I only ended up with more than a dozen because I was on a quest, and then got too busy to sell them as they started to pile up. It's a serious chunk of time to organize basses for photoshoots, write up all the ads, apply for CITES certificates, etc. Plus I haven't actually made the final final decisions on what to keep yet...(soon!)

I have 6 right now but that’s subject to change at any moment. I have 2 German Corvette 5 strings, one’s a $$ and the other is a Standard. I do not play 5ers often enough to justify keeping both. I’ve had a really hard time deciding which to keep. I actually sold one by letting a guy choose which he wanted! Ended up taking it back on a trade when he couldn’t adjust to playing a 5! Now I’m out my 4 string Corvette Standard but am a little richer! I have an American PBass, a Mexican Mustang, a really sweet souped up Mexican Jazz, and an American Peavey Foundation from 1987 that Amazes me!

unfortunately, only the first one is an actually bass. The other 11 belong to Will Lee and were sampled by him for the Sampleheads CD-ROM, The Will Lee Bass library

I use the CD-ROM with an Akai S2800 and although they do provide some nice bass lines for recordings and sequences, it is just not the real thing now, is it.

My respect for the bass player and what he/she brings to the music was never anything but robust but still it grows every day
