Now with pic ;) The P is a partscaster I’m just finishing up. Needs a final setup and possibly some flats.

I spent a *long* time with a bass or two. The number has steadily been increasing, as my failed attempt at flipping turned into just buying gear.

I realized how out of hand things had gotten when I had to expand into a closet in a second room to handle everything.

…. But what I realize is that i have 2 danelectros, 2 Ibanez BTB’s, and 4 different p bass type instruments. And I am somehow lacking a Stingray, and there’s no Jazz in sight. So I’ll probably end up reducing the overall size of my collection to get a slightly better variety of instruments on hand.

I have to say the Ibanez Musician I got in the 1990s has been one of my best investments. It has really kept me from buying or not flipping other basses hundreds of times.

I really enjoy the repairs, renovations of abused instruments. That has always been my MO. I find a good instrument in bad shape and fix them up. But even where I can always get them to good action, etc. that Ibanez is ridiculous, like sub 1mm to 1.25 action without too much buzzing.

But Ive steadily added some as Ive been filling different genres roles here and there through some collaborations.

So currently:
1980s Ibanez Musician
BSX electric upright
2 Warwick Corvettes, fretted $$ and fretless standard
2 Reverends, Thundergun and Mercalli
A rescue Fender Jazz Bass, but I am probably Warmothing it.
