Sire M7 v2 5 String - My main bass. Very nice looking, great sounding, but a bit heavy and the fretboard radius is a litte uncomfortable.

Peavey Millenium AC5-BXP - My first "real" bass. Plays great, but the electronics now have some issues. Still haven't found a shop in my area, that is able to fix this properly. So it's just my backup bass now.

J & D ABG-5c - a cheap acoustic bass. It's just so convenient to simply grab the bass without the need to power the amp or to plug any cable into it.

Ibanez BTB 1806 with Audere 3-band Pro-Z preamp and Nordstrand Jazz Bar single coils (60's wind) - ash and walnut body wings with panga panga/maple/purple heart neck and bound panga panga fingerboard

Warmoth Gecko 6 fretless with Nordstrand 3-band preamp and Aguilar DCB pickups - bubinga body with wenge/bubinga neck and ebony fingerboard

Dean Razor NT (2001)
Not a ding, dent, scratch on it. Gold hardware still gold and not worn off or oxidized. Brass nut still looks good. Real time capsule bass.

Just curious: are you married, I mean ... still married ?
Divorced, no kids, great career with great salary.
Also a few old cars I putz around with too. ;)
However, my bass collection is nothing compared to a few others here at TB... like @kodiakblair and @David Sutkin to name a few. :smug:

I take it that you like Peavey!! Like the way you said "Other basses"

I'm not bragging! I am cussing! I don't even know for sure how many basses I own. Twenty something. I've created a mess that I don't even know how to fix. It is difficult to let any go but it's stupid for me to have this many. Compulsive spending. A deep infection of GAS!
I can help you lighten the load a bit if you send that '53 south.:D

I always wanted one of those! They came out a year or two after I started playing, but I never had the chance to get one. How does it play?

I have these, and I don't see myself letting any of them go or buying another bass any time in the near future.

Ibanez SR480 with Dimarzio Model P/J pickups and Audere preamp

Harley Benton P/M with Seymour Duncan pickups and Audere preamp

Peavey Millennium USA with Bartolini pickups and Audere preamp.

All have wooden thumbrests between the pickups, in case you were wondering what those thingies are.

Hate to say it....like butta.

Very similar feel to the Jeff Berlin Czech made bass. Not the same sound, but similar feel.

I've been looking for one of these for a while. I do have a bolt-on version too, but it's always been the neck-thru that I've been looking for. This is really a time capsule bass as I've yet to see a nick or ding on it anywhere.

This is a Ben Chafin design who also designed the Rhapsody.

There are currently 2 non-neck thru (bolt-on) Razor models on GC used right now. One passive and one active.

And, Ben Chafin is still making guitars and basses in Florida believe it or not.
