Squire P Bass, Fender American Standard 2012 P Bass.... Not bad for a newbie of 5 months never having played any instrument before....but I've got the bug...I want a hagstrom Viking , hoffner viola bass, a gretsch , a musicman..... Is this normal ? ! 
I have 4 my girlfriend was giving me a hard time about it to which I replied,"look how many golf clubs tiger woods has and that's in just one bag" not a good enough excuse so then I asked her how many pairs of shoes she owns. That was the end of that convo.

I had 5 until about a year ago. A '63 precision, lakland skyline joe osborne, hofner club bass, Jerry Jones longhorn and fender custom shop '62 jazz reissue and then I discovered Squire Basses and boy do they kick ass. So I've added three basses in the last 12 months all Squire. A VM jaguar, a VM 5 string jazz and a classic vibe precision in a very cool fiesta red.
I love all my basses and I've winnowed out a few dogs over the years but I gotta say these squires are a real bang for the buck and for a few hundred bucks who cares if they fall over and go boom.

I know I'm late but I initially thought a weekly notice could be the best: I was undoubtedly wrong
Anyway, you asked me which Yammies I prefer among the ones in my current collection:
well, these ones:
The lava red one appeared on my marriage photobook, while the black one was bought when, long before I even knew the sex of my baby, I dreamt he could've actually been male (my son Andrea Edoardo)
To start up, I managed to buy him, as first bass, a Fender Precision Jr. (a short scale MIM standard Torino Red Precision) I modded w/DiMarzio ModelOne neck pickup (to let it look quite like Dad's Yam Attitude) - pictured aside first Yamaha RBX350 with Hipshot GB7 bass extender - and, then, a proper Yam Attitude (just like Dad different color), for when he will be man.
