Are you serious? Wow! ! That's insane...but really cool at the same time! You wouldn't happen to have a Pedulla Pentabuzz I can add to my: MTD 535-24 Roscoe SKB-3005 HumanBase BaseX.oc-5 Moye Custom 5 {}
5 right now... - Brian Ristola 6-string - two Line6 Variax 705s (one with a custom-built neck and magnetic pickup added) - MTD Artist 5 - Squier Badtz Maru Bronco bass
After downsizing, I own just one bass now. And I'm loving it. I sold all my basses and bought a lakland skyline dj4 from 2007. Great bass. And I also own my hungarian db, but that is for sale at the moment. It was my cure for gas: downsizing, buying the bass you really want and staying of talkbass. You can see I'm back on tb and the itching has started again. :s
After my 2007-08 downsizing/upgrading... Dean Edge Hammer 10X 10-string in Natural Mahogany (coursed) Ibanez SR-1206 six-string in Natural Maple (soon to be on the selling block as well: It's too heavy for my surgically-altered back, I've come to terms that I'm not a 6-string player at heart, and if I want the range I'd rather play a 5er strung EADGC) Ibanez SR-800 fretless in "Jewel Blue" (on loan to a friend who doesn't have a fretless, and was my first "good" bass so there's too much sentimentality attacked to sell) Mike Lull Modern 4 in Transparent Red Mike Lull Modern 5 in Transparent Amber Music Man S.U.B. Sterling in "Textured Cinnamon" (a Rust Red/Green/Gold "Kameleon"-type finish) Spector ReBop 4 DLX EX with Zebrawood top (aka "The ZeBop") Spector ReBop 5 DLX FM fretted in Black Cherryburst Spector ReBop 5 DLX FM lined fretless in Blueburst with HG Thor Epoxy Coating It actually seems to me that I own less than I actually do: my Ibby 6 will be sold off in the near future (and hopefully fund a used ReBop I can string E-C as a replacement), my Ibby 4 fretless was cased in the closet until I found out my friend was interested in learning fretless, the Dean 10-string is a pretty unique-sounding bass that gets used for specific sounds and parts, and my S.U.B. Sterling was a gift from the Significant Other and a rarity in terms of it's finish so even if the MM sound isn't my sound, it's a staple that's good to have around. ...so although the count is 9 I feel that it's 5, as my Lulls and Spectors get the vast majority of my playing time and are my "Go-To" instruments.
