How many fingers?

I play with 2 fingers and a thumb
Im beggining to try and use my ring as a 3rd more now.

i have been playing for almost 3 years

i use 3 fingers my pointer middle and ring and when im playing slap obvesly my thumb so i guess that makes 4 fingers woops

ive been playing for 4 years and have only used those fingers

usually 2 is suff on plucking hand, index and middle.
Occasionally ring when playing triplets (e.g. intro to Running Free by Iron Maiden )
on fretting hand 3 or rarely 4 if i have a big jump down to do. (i find sliding up the ring finger is ok 99% of the time cause my little finger is too small and weak, except on the G and occasionally D)

i just started playing not long ago so i'm still trying to get the feeling of how i like to play but i think i've decided on useing my index and middle finger, along with my thumb.

I fret with all four but never the thumb. I pluck with three and, very occasionally four.

I played in early 1970s, stopped, then took up the bass again last Christmas.

the bass player from alien ant farm tried to copy les claypool by playing with 3 fingers, but he looks so stupid as he cant control his wee finger it loooks really messy and uncomfortable. i havent spent enough time playing with 3 so when i play near people i use two and tuck the rest into my hand. it looks surprisingly professional.

I generally use index, middle and ring, throwing in the thumb for slapping and arpeggios. I tried learning to pluck with my pinky, but I didn't think I was really getting anything out of it. I also use a pick from time to time (insert flame bull's eye here). I've been playing bass for almost 9 years now.
