How many fretless basses?

I don't have any fretted basses.

I have 3 (soon to be 4) fretless:
Cheapo Ashton that I defretted and LOVE!

Old Maya j bass that I'm reworking. Gonna add a maple top, replaced the fingerboard, lots of repairs, 4 string with P pup in jazz position. Maple neck/ebony board, ash body.

Getting a 5 string to defret. Borrowed an ibanez 5er and LOVED it. Gonna buy one, defret it, take out active electronics, install ramp. Gonna be my main player if all goes well.

Old romanian carved double bass, I love this bass more than anything I own. I was given it for free, then given the parts for free, then given the strings for free. I fall in love with this bass every time I play it!

I have three...

1) A really, really ugly Westone Steinberger knockoff that I bought for $80 in a pawn shop during college and took the frets out of. Sounds really good!

2) A zebrawood 5 string Lonnybass with an ebony fingerboard. Very warm and upright-like.

3) A brand new (finished last week) 5 string Lonnybass with a AAAA tiger maple fingerboard coated with epoxy. A mwah machine and a crazy visual to see all those stripes where frets would normally be (and not be)!

Here's a picture of the one with the tiger stripe fingerboard:

Since the flash kind of washes the flame out a bit, here's a good picture of the fingerboard before the neck was attached to the body:

I just have one, a Sage Green Metallic Standard Jazz Fretless. I am still in the learning phase so one is all I need until I become so comfortable playing it that I start to perceive some deficiency in it. Of course that day may never come even if I become a master of the four string fretless. It is a nice bass with the usual Jazz Bass tonal range and while there are nicer basses yet, it potentially is sufficient to fulfill all my fretless needs, now and forever.
