I have a problem with our bulbtard. He's all screwed up and its threatening our upcoming recording session. All he thinks, talks and sleeps about is amperes. I keep telling him to forget the amps, let the fuses take care of it, that he needs to focus on the watts & volts of the project so we can complete it in the short time we have in the studio.

Has anyone tried an SXbulb? They are pretty cheap. I just got one and the finish is fantastic. They seem to be as bright as my American made bulb and much better than my MIM bulb. Plus I was able to get a tort bulb guard to fit.

Photonwound monel flats, IME, are very nice in that they are warm, as you would expect, but let all of the spectrum come through. Warm, bright and versatile.

It must be a round wound bulb. Flat wound bulbs get better with age.
