How many TOTAL basses have you owned?

I currently have 8 and have had a total of 11 in my 40 years of playing and wish I had held on to the 3 I let go which were the 1st 3 I purchased. The 1st one being a Matsumoto (?) Japanese "W" Jazz bass. A Carl Thompson Explorer Body that a local guy Blackhurst finished and the 3rd was a custom BC Rich I commissioned from 91-92... Still looking out for that one!

I have own a total of 8 basses. Had Three at one point, went down to one, now back up to Three basses. These three cover most of the styles of music I like to play (Fender Jazz EMG's, Lakland 55-02 Deluxe with the newer pickups and preamp, and Sterling SUB Stingray with Aguilar Pickup). I would love to pickup a MTD 535 just because I think they are really nice looking as well as sounding awesome. Now that I', back to work at a good job, I may be placing an order here soon with Mike.

About a hundred. I got a bit crazy with trading at some point, a long time ago when you could ship anywhere for 20.

Now that you bring it up, it wasn't. Don't recall Ken Lawrence, perhaps... Greater LA area builder in the late 70's, early 80's. Can't think of his name.

It took me until fairly recently to really understand what I want from a bass and doing things 'my way' with Warmoth parts has totally scratched that itch.
