How much does everyone drink during shows and jams?

This was after the first 60 minute set. It was a Rock show with a very loose crowd. I did try to behave at corporate / Private gigs... honest.

I have found that ordering one glass of wine (I don't do pee rentals while on stage) prior to a show helps me loosen up. I might order one more if it's more than an hour before I am actually on stage and usually that one goes up with me. But I will never, ever, ever drink enough quickly enough to impair my playing or my ability to do my job. For me it's strictly for relaxation.

Not inclined to drink on the job.
I always order up a water on the rocks and tell'm to make it a double....it's gonna be a long night.
Early in my career I could smoke numerous bowls, down a six pack, burn through a half a pack of cigarettes and be ready to play all night. Of course I could also get by on a few hours sleep, then in the morning go to work for 8 hrs and then start the process all over again. I'm tired just thinkin' about that.

Haven’t had a drink at rehearsal in a long time.

Gigs I’ve been know to toss a few back. Folks know I like whiskey so that’s what ends up beside me on stage.

But I retired from gigging in December and have only had a couple of drinks total since then....coincidence? I think so!

At practice I might have a beer, but it isn't required. At a show I might nurse a cocktail or have one or two beers. It kinda takes the edge off, loosens me up so I can have fun playing. Plus there is usually a few hours to kill before your set.
After we play there usually isn't time to drink. You have to get you stuff off the stage ASAP so the next band can play, and you don't generally want to leave your gear in your car. If you are the headliner, its pretty late by the time you are done, and there is a long road home.
What keeps the drinking down for a lot of bands here is that on top of not paying you, you don't get drinks either. But you did get the honor of paying $10 for parking, so that's awesome.
