If I recall correctly I used to see those St. George basses and guitars for sale at Montgomery Wards in the early to mid-60's. They were attempting to compete with the Silvertone crap that was sold at Sears and it wasn't any better. Sorry to say but basically that's not a decent bass at all. If you put new strings on it, then the value would go up to about 50% of the price of the strings. I wouldn't spend any money on this.
