Yup, St. George... one of the many brand names slapped on the wave of affordable instruments flowing out of Japan during the 60’s...
Neat looking little bass. Kind of hit or miss... some can be decent players, some just feel like someone glued together a few pieces of plywood and strapped on some strings.

I voted “OK” in the poll, but feel the selection was kind of lacking...

My first guitar was a Teisco Spectrum II bought new in the summer of 1972. The body was similar, same grade electronics (cheap), but fancier guard and bridge. The neck inlays were nearly identical to those in the pics, except the twelfth fret. Never saw that style on any other instruments, so I believe you have an offshoot of the Teisco line from the early 70's or so. Maybe earlier, like the '60's. I'd like to give you more info, but I'm having a really hard time trying to decide how to vote in your poll. Damn, "OK" or "Ok", which is the closest?
