You absolutely should NOT. Nine times out of ten black is extremely dull.

Excuse moi monsieur...... This one is particularly shiny......

You could always get it wrapped in polyvinyl at a place that wraps cars. Mine cost $75 and it's not permanent.

In time, you will find a used black Squier for less than the trouble it will take for you to ruin the Sonic Blue with black spray paint.

I wouldn’t, but that’s not to say you shouldn’t. I dig the blue. That said, black always looks good on a P bass.

I’ve actually refinished quite a few, hence why it wasn’t a worry

Think I’ll probably sell it instead. Don’t have the budget to keep adding basses, but never really bonded with this one

That is the most impressive wrap I have ever seen. It doesn't even look like a P bass anymore.

Get a cheap Black Fender Licensed body….

this is probably cheaper than refinishing the OG body. plus, when you change your mind, you'll have no regerts (regrets).

I wouldn’t touch it.. my 2010 fiesta red isn’t going anywhere. I voted no because value in the future

Maybe if it had a maple fretboard but not with that rosewood.
