Thanks JTE, I'm not really looking for a new guitar. I enjoy every sound I can get out of it, even though I want another, without losing any that I have

Heavy gauge strings are also harder to bend.
I have a hardtail strat with lace sensor gold PUs. Very full sound.
Big +1 to what JTE said overall, and I forgot to mention the tone knob swap that SGD Lutherie mentions, it sounds really good on the hotter strat pickups to roll off a bit of the highs on the bridge pickup. Works great in the realm of Rats, Fuzz Faces, Marshalls, and whatnot.
Cool to see a lot of you double on guitar or maybe even are primarily guitarists like me ( it's about a 70/30 split), and have the same knowledge and passion for the 6 string. I wish there was a guitar forum as good as TB for guitar.

Thanks for all the fast responses. The heavier strings thing will definitely happen. But 2 things here really took my fancy. The bridge humbucker (possibly a Hotrails) and the series middle/bridge pickup mod. Could I have it so position M/B is Middle and bridge in series? Or could I just have a push/pull to "add" the bridge pickup in series to the middle pickup? I was thinking about a DPDT at the jack to put the bridge pickup in series with whatever combination is going to the jack.
