How to pick up the ladies...

Three ways to go...

1. Proposition them and get a nod, or slap;
2. Show interest, and ask them if you could meet them for dinner (your treat);
3. Don't pursue anything when meeting them the first time.

You're not looking for "women." You're looking for a smaller percentage of women who are open to same-sex encounters. Of that small percentage, you're also looking for a smaller percentage who aren't in committed relationships, and of those, you're looking for someone who is both attractive to you in terms of age, appearance, personality, and finds you attractive in those same regards.

At this point, you've narrowed your available candidates down significantly to the point that you'll need organization to find them, not just the right haircut. As others have suggested, being part of an social group (be it the right bars, the right website, or the right friends) will probably make finding such a small portion of the general population accessible.

Yeah, I don't think Maki's going to be much help here. I hate to suggest the bar scene. Maybe ask around where the local lesbian gathering places are. There's a Japanese tappan restaurant here that seems to be a favorite with the girls. Also, there's not much point in hitting on random women. The straight ones are going to be unappreciative.

True but I feel like quantity over quality is an effective mantra regardless if you're heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, ect.

That being said I don't think a hair cut is going to do it( on a personal note I find faux hawks pretty stupid looking).

Like many have said you have to go to places where lesbians/bisexual girls hang out.

You can't go up to random girls in bars. Trust me I've had bi girlfriends as I said and the few times we tried looking for a friend to join us that evening it ended quite unsuccessfully.

Pretty much find a place with a bunch of girls that like girls and your shyness confidence issues aren't going to be an issue. Aggressive gals will find the shy ones.

...yo, Edward, I gots what'chu need.

1. Move into the bar next to your target (or get up next to them wherever they are).
2. Say: "Good, thanks, you?"
3A. If they're nasty about it, just say: "Sorry, I thought you asked how I was," and move off.
3B. If they're not nasty about, consider the ice broken and the conversation started.
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

I'm married, how the hell should I know?

I mean doing the dishes or cleaning the litter box usually gets things started, but women, women... in the wild? If it ever get divorced I'm never getting laid again.

SO true! The rules for married scoring are completely different than the rules for single scoring. Can't remember how the old way worked any more.

Not sure what you're looking for or type of woman you want, but i'll offer some blanket advice since i've been back on the market for two years following a divorce:

Don't go to bars.

Don't do internet dating sites. Cost too much money and the girls are snobs and just want hot rich guys.

Play gigs. Work the merch table and get numbers from girls buying stuff. Also take note if any girls are watching you play, then talk to them after you're done.

Are you young? Go back to college, tons of chicks there. Third day of one of my classes this semester a 21 yo punk chick offered to "help me with my homework". I'm 35. I declined because I am a gentleman, but the opportunities are there.

Get into a hobby and become social, whatever it is you can usually meet women. Unless it's dirt biking like I do haha. But seriously, try meetup.com there's tons of people who just do... stuff. All kinds of stuff.

Keep your standards realistic. Don't be afraid to date outside your comfort zone a little. If a girl is cool, then you'll soon realize you're attracted to her for who she is and how she makes you feel, not that she doesn't have the right hair color or whatever. Personally, I like thick curvy chicks but I find most any girl attractive if they have the right personality and interests.

Don't ask for a girl's number too soon- chat them up for a while. You can tell if they're interested if they're still talking to you a half hour later.

Once you get a number don't come on too strong, don't call/text all the time, take things at her pace, and don't talk about past relationships unless she brings it up.

Good luck.
