Human Gear ANIMATO

Should be fine, but realize that if you stack two dirts together, you will lose low end. The only reason this works for Chris, is that he has a synth backing track, and he is using 12,000 watts of power into 5 15" speakers... Plus PA support.

Even my rig with Animato/Muff stack lacks low end. The muff makes up for a little, but it is still missing the depth.

Oh for sure! I'm pretty certain on what to expect when I set it up. I seem to recall that I've read before, multiple times, that Chris blends Animato on one amp, and other stuff on a second, and then the third 7400 is clean. Shane says he always keeps the clean one on, IIRC :)

Not always, but most of the time one is clean.

Uprising is a prime example of never clean tone.

Yeah. I love the fact that that yellow guy is basically Hyper Music in a box, though, it seems like the studio version has the mids slightly scooped.

Have you ever tried mixing it with another pedal? Instead of blending it by itself, y'know, going, for example, clean amp, then Big Muff -> Human Gear -> bass? I've mixed my Bass Big Muff with the Boss ODB-3, and love it; those two go together really nicely, so I was thinking of swapping the ODB-3 for it, like Chris did.

Here's my pedalboard, with my Animato on (#681). I've had this pedal for a while now, having found a new one in a local music shop for £110. I have to say I'm not very impressed. I also owned a RAT and have noticed no difference after an extensive A/B. It's not worth the money I paid for it and the shop don't want it back as they have too many in stock as it is.

I hardly ever turn it on, the big bass muff is much better. It's taking up valuable space on my pedalboard, and it's only use is to attract Muse fanboys.

Not impressed.

Hi,

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'd be offering you a fair deal as I don't live in America. Have you tried a RAT? They sound pretty much identical and are pretty cheap. If not, I found this Animato easily, I'm sure you could find one near you for a reasonable price.

Few things.

1: I alredy have one, so you are not giving me a new experience.

2: What store did you get it from?

3: The rat sounds NOTHING like the Animato in any real scenario other than the way you use it, which is the worst possible way to use this pedal.

LOL. Sorry, but you are doing it wrong. The bass big muff is better? So you claim that the worst big muff in history is better than a pedal which is highly sought after and if used properly is incredible?

K. Good luck getting that "Thousand pound" deal you keep talking about to others. :rollno:

Wow, what an antagonistic response to my post. I don't think I wrote anything to warrant such a reply.

How can you possibly know how I use my pedal? I'll humour you though - tell me....

I hope you have proof to back up these 'facts' you're pushing on us here. I don't care how many youtube videos you've done, it doesn't make your opinion any more important than anybody else's.

Well, from the looks of things, and your description, you are using it wrong. It is a guitar pedal, and is designed to cut lows.

Fact is, if that really is your pedal board, you have absolutely no way of blending clean into your signal, and that is your downfall. The pedal is a MONSTER if blended with clean, and can hold up against and be heard against a pair of death metal guitarists having a volume war.

The fact that your board is lacking a blend of any type shows you plugged it in, and did what Grygrx did, except you just keep it to show off to "Muse fan boys".

As for the antagonistic response... You read it how you want man. You fled into a thread trashing a pedal that others like and want, then have the audacity to claim to others ooking to buy it that you have received offers for 1000 pounds? Really?

Tell you what, tell us the store you bought it at, and everyone can go get this waste of space at a good price, instead of paying your over inflated mark up scheme.

My guess? You didn't buy it at an over stocked store, will not provide the name, and are attempting to drive up interest to make some money on something that is easily found cheaper than your 1000 quid.

How do you flee into something? That doesn't even make sense...

There is no secret about where I got it from, and have told many people who have asked me politely about where it is. You have not asked me nicely and therefore I feel no need to tell you.

How can you possibly know how I've used it from one photo? That is my pedalboard of course, but why you're presuming it contains all the pedals I own, in the only combination I've tried is laughable. Everybody knows about the clean blend necessary for the Animato - of course I've tried it. My opinion is that it's a disappointing pedal and I thought that that my opinion may be of some use in a thread about it. You may disagree, but I still maintain that I don't warrant such aggression from you.

You stated that this is your board with the animato on it... I don't use it, rarely kick it on, and have done an extensive A/B with a rat and can't tell the difference. Seeing what photo you posted shows the context to which your board is assembled. Hey, if I am wrong, I am wrong, but you posted the pic and you stated it sucks. I assumed that for a person to come to that conclusion, you had to have not used it properly.

So, You are not going to state what store is over stocked and looking to deal for a highly sought after pedal?

Gotcha. Good to know.

No, I'm not going to tell you where I got it from. Not because I've fabricated it but because you've been so pompous towards me, both in this thread and the discussion about the Kitara (which you've since deleted all your posts from with no explanation) that I don't want to. Believe I'm lying if you like, I guess that's easier than accepting you've talked yourself out of it.

Why are you so desperate to own two of the same pedal? You can get Muse autographs really easily online. Order some from eBay, put them in a frame over your bed and then enjoy using your massively overrated pedal.

I deleted your posts from the Kitara discussion because you were completely off the topic of the thread, and regardless of how much you think you were right, you derailed the thread to teh point others were asking the discussion to stop. I cleaned up MY thread, because I didn't want to have to deal with that extra page of BS.

Why do I want another one? Because I do. Frankly, it is none of your concern. As for the "massively overrated" remark... Hilarious coming from a guy with a bass big muff as his benchmark.
