See if you can counter sue her for creating a danger to the public by creating a situation that required rescue. Wreckless driving is illegal, suicide is illegal, losing control of your vehicle is illegal, drunk driving it illegal. There might be something that you can bring as a counter suit. That might get her to drop it and shut up.

The medical field has come a long way from the 80's and 90's, especially in the titanium plate field. I wouldn't doubt it took an hour to do the surgery. You can get glasses in about an hour. Why not a titanium plate?

I know it's possible, but having seen my brother get two ten-inch-long titanium rods to hold his broken wrist last year, titanium plates "here and there" won't have you walking briskly the next day (aside from curious imprecision about one's own body). I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying the whole story didn't sound credible.
