I agree.

A friend of mine once told me that my stuff sounded like Hootie and the Blowfish (I don't see a similarity, but he apparently did). He then said, "I didn't want to tell you that, because I thought maybe you'd be offended." I replied, "Not at all. They've done pretty well for themselves."

When you hear a song on the radio and you think "Oh cool its a new ____ tune, and its NOT that band...THATS bad" There is a band thats played on the radio here in MA that I swore was tool when I heard it, but it wasn't. I forget what the name was..

Sounding like or remidning someone of another band isn't a band thing. I downloaded "Upon Walking Mostly Lifeless" or whatever it was called (2nd sond on the page) and it reminded me of Aaron Lewis. But thats just me
